Pro Tips For Selling Your House
Less Is More
While we all have those amazing memories from photos and the sand or shells from the beach that we took our honeymoon on. Most buyers do not need to see all those personal items! So less is always more when it comes to just about anything in life but especially in selling your home!
Pack away all those extra pictures and trinkets that make you feel at home but might not bring any value to the home buyer!
Curb Appeal
Continuing with the less is more theme, make sure you have added just a little bit of elbow grease into your curb appeal! I am not suggesting to break the bank and hire a full landscape team to redo the whole front (well unless it is needed).
However, make sure the front lawn is mowed nicely, the flower beds are spruced up a bit with some mulch or at least no weeds in the rocks. Make sure the bushes are all trimmed and possibly some nice front patio furniture.
Something that can add some character to your curb appeal would be to update or even paint your front door a nice fun clean color.
Bright & White
When a buyer sees your house for the first time make sure all the lights are on in the house and all the outside lights are on and working when they are visiting after dusk!
One thing that helps show off your house is to make sure you have bright daylight LED bulbs in your fixtures. This helps eliminate that dingy yellow light often associated with older style homes.
Last make sure all the natural light you can get into the house is on point! Open all those curtains, yes even in the guest bedrooms, this allows for the natural light to come pouring in and buyers will love this!
Rearrange & Organize
We all have that snooping habit 😆
buyers are no different than you and me and often like to take looks into closets and into kitchen cabinets. Make sure these are organized and nice and neat! Nothing screams that you keep things well kept and care about your house than having things nice and neat and organized.
Maybe you have lots of clothes that just don't fit into your closets or maybe you just love your kitchen gadgets. Consider taking the excess out of the house and only show off the best pieces and your most favorite clothing. Remember less is more!
